A yeast with recognised properties Saccharomyces boulardii is a non-pathogenic yeast discovered in 1923 by a French scientist, Henri Boulard, who isolated it from lychee fruits. S. boulardii is, to date, the only yeast considered able to interact positively with the human body. It is recognised by numerous scientific studies as potentially effective on diarrhoea, and more particularly diarrhoea associated with antibiotic treatment. Bifidiol Boulardii is a nutritional supplement suitable for children (+6 years) and pregnant women. It is provided in acid-resistant capsules for better bioavailability.
