Description
TO PROTECT THE LIVER Détoxivits participates in phases I and II of detoxification and activates phase III via 3 different toxin-elimination actions. Dandelion and milk thistle contribute to: √ Detoxification of the body Dandelion helps to: √ Support elimination functions Vitamin C, zinc and selenium ensure the proper functioning of the immune system. Milk thistle supports the normal functioning of the liver. This complex, rich in active compounds, acts on liver detoxification. Phase I of xenobiotic detoxification is carried out by cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYP). The micronutrients contained in Détoxivits help catalyse these CYPs, including B-group vitamins, NAC & vitamin C (glutathione production) and minerals such as selenium and zinc. These micronutrients are also involved in phase II of detoxification in order to metabolise/conjugate oxidised products. This solubilisation phase is reinforced by milk thistle, which contributes to liver protection (increases the activity of SOD and glutathione peroxidase enzymes) and taurine (tauro-conjugation). A meta-analysis describes the effectiveness of silymarin. A broccoli extract standardised to 13% glucoraphanin provides the body with sulforaphane (hydrolysation carried out by salivary enzymes and gut microbiome bacteria). This organosulphur compound also activates phase II enzymes in combination with naringin, which inhibits CYPs (CYP3A4, CYP1A2, CYP3A5). Once neutralised, these molecules leave the liver to be eliminated (phase III). According to the European Medicines Agency, Fumitory added to the formula has interesting properties for bile. Lastly, artichoke promotes liver drainage and facilitates the elimination of toxins. Dandelion is involved in minor digestive discomfort, and liver, biliary and urinary function.
