Mechanism of action Published scientific studies show that Bacillus coagulans and subtilis naturally produce digestive enzymes, immunomodulatory peptides, carotenoids and natural antimicrobial substances that stimulate healthy gut flora and inhibit pathogens. They help eliminate dysbiosis, intestinal inflammation **and help regulate metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance. In an in vivo study, Bacillus coagulans promoted improvement in rheumatoid arthritis by stimulating the production of anti-inflammatory substances. Bacillus subtilis, meanwhile, exerts a natural anti-Helicobacter pylori action in vitro as well as an anti-Candida albicans and anti-yeast action. An experimental study shows that B. subtilis significantly increased subjects' immunity by stimulating an increase in protective bacteria such as Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and Clostridium lituseburense. B. subtilis also produces substances that inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vivo.
