Description
HistaQuel® HistaQuel® is a comprehensive formula offering a multi-faceted systemic approach to support the healthy function of mast cells and the histamine response. What is a mast cell? Mast cells are part of the immune system and are primarily responsible for the generation and release of histamine in the body. Under normal conditions, this is a natural function of a healthy body working to get rid of an allergen. However, mast cells can become hyperactive, releasing a cascade of histamine throughout the body, which leads to increased or continuous allergy symptoms. Many allergy-treatment supplements, such as diamine oxidase (DAO), focus on reducing histamine in the gut using enzymes to break down histamine. Unfortunately, this means they are limited in their function and are only effective at reducing ingested histamine (that is, histamine introduced into the body through the food we eat) in the gastrointestinal tract. However, mast cells release histamine systemically. Consequently, when mast cells are activated, they release histamine throughout the body. Enzymes such as DAO do nothing to support the healthy function of mast cells or to support the body's healthy response to histamine, and therefore offer only limited benefit. How does HistaQuel® support mast cell health ? HistaQuel® uses a comprehensive approach to support the healthy function of mast cells and the systemic response to histamine. Six clinically studied flavonoids and herbs have been combined to promote healthy levels of histamine production and healthy levels of histamine absorption. This holistic approach has resulted in a comprehensive formula featuring a dual mechanism of action. Dual mechanisms of action √ Supports the release of a healthy amount of histamine by supporting the healthy function of mast cells √ Supports a healthy level of histamine absorption by blocking histamine receptors (via competitive inhibition) Characteristics Constituents/Actions Benefits Mast Cell Secure™ : Fisetin, Luteolin, Perilla frutescens, Quercefit® Quercetin Phytosome® √ A targeted blend of flavonoids supports a healthy release of histamine by mast cells √ Moderates interactions between mast cells and activated T cells √ Supports a healthy Th2 release of cytokines that promote allergy, IL-4 and IL-5 √ Supports a healthy release of IgE-mediated histamine √ Highly bioavailable form of quercetin with absorption 20 times greater than that of standard quercetin in published research. HistaCheck™ : Nettle leaf, black cumin extract (seed) √ Supports a healthy level of histamine to bind to its receptors through competitive inhibition √ Supports the management of a healthy immune system response to allergens
