About Mayday Acidity Reflux MAYDAY® exerts a mechanical action through the presence of a double concentrate of pure Aloe vera juice, enriched with sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate. The presence of sodium bicarbonate and sodium and calcium carbonates also reduces hyperacidity of the stomach. √ The polysaccharides naturally present in pure Aloe vera juice protect the mucous membranes by adhering to the walls of the oesophagus and stomach and forming a protective film able to defend the tissues against gastric juices or irritating agents. √ The benefits of the double concentrate of pure Aloe vera juice are added to those of sodium alginate which, on contact with the acidity of the stomach, reacts by forming a gel. √ The gel traps the carbon dioxide bubbles released by the carbonates contained in the formulation and forms a barrier in the upper part of the stomach that mechanically prevents gastric juices from rising into the oesophagus. √ The product does not contain water as a diluent, as it is completely replaced by pure, unpasteurised, non-charcoal-filtered Aloe vera juice, doubly concentrated using Zuccari's exclusive ReversOsmose® process.
