Description
About Melilax adult Melilax is an innovative honey-based microenema that combines a balanced evacuant action with a protective and soothing action on the rectal mucosa, useful for combating the discomfort, irritation and inflammation present in cases of constipation. Melilax's dual action is achieved thanks to Promelaxin , an active complex of nectar and honeydew honeys specially selected and processed according to their monosaccharide, polysaccharide and melanoidin content, enriched with the polysaccharide fraction of Aloe and Mallow. How does it work? Melilax exerts a non-irritating evacuant action and thus generates a stimulus that activates physiological and balanced defecation. In addition, Melilax, thanks to its mucus-like properties and its viscosity, protects the rectal mucosa during the passage of stools, mimicking the lubricating action of physiological mucus. These particular properties, combined with the antioxidant action, give the product the ability to protect and soothe the mucosa, exerting an indirect anti-inflammatory action due to the product's physical characteristics. Indications Melilax is indicated in the treatment of constipation, even in the presence of visceral hypersensitivity (as in the case of irritable bowel), fissures and haemorrhoids. The product can also be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and in infants. Directions for use √ Open the microenema by removing the safety cap from the cannula: hold the round ring located above the bellows. With the other hand, bend the cannula cap until it breaks and fully separates from the ring. Remove the cannula cap √ Apply a few drops of product to the peri-anal area and gently insert the cannula into the rectum. √ Press the microenema fully and, at the end of application, keep it pressed until the cannula has been fully withdrawn, to prevent the product from being drawn back in. Dosage √ Adults and adolescents from 12 years: 1 microenema of 10 g as needed. In cases of persistent constipation, apply 2 doses consecutively. √ Children aged 3 to 12: 1 microenema of 5 g as needed. In cases of persistent constipation, apply 2 doses consecutively. √ Children aged 1 to 3: 1 microenema of 5 g as needed. √ Infants aged 0 to 1: 1 half-microenema of 5 g as needed.
