As a practitioner, you have probably encountered these patients: temperamental skin despite suitable cosmetic care, diffuse inflammatory terrain with no clear explanation, chronic fatigue, subtle but persistent signs...

The gut-skin axis is now a fundamental clinical lever, whether for acne, eczema or sensitive skin conditions.

1. Key points on the gut-skin axis

The gut microbiota directly influences the skin via immune, metabolic and neuroendocrine pathways. Gut dysbiosis can disrupt skin balance, fuel inflammation or impair the protective barrier.
