Description
BCAA, an essential nutritional supplement for muscles. BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids) are a group of 3 branched-chain amino acids considered essential for muscle: leucine, isoleucine and valine. Their natural synthesis by the body is not possible. It is therefore essential to provide BCAAs through nutrition. During a sports session, muscle fibres enter muscle catabolism. These amino acids then provide a readily accessible source of energy during training to reduce this muscle catabolism and thus protect muscle mass. Nutripure's BCAAs are slightly overdosed in leucine, the most anabolic amino acid. This is able to activate a protein called TOR or mTOR, which stimulates protein synthesis. These versatile BCAAs are suitable for all sporting activities. In addition, during prolonged exertion, it is worthwhile having a BCAA intake to act on central fatigue. Taking BCAAs may help improve performance and/or the feeling of well-being during a race. Several studies have been conducted on this subject. It is important to ingest sufficient quantities daily, but many protein sources, such as meat and eggs, provide them. People with a sufficiently high protein intake (1-1,5 g per kg of body weight per day or more) do not need supplementation.
