Description
Supports the formation of red blood cells, energy production and helps in case of fatigue! √ Well-absorbed form of iron: iron bisglycinate √ Divalent iron (Fe2+): optimal absorption √ Cofactors with a synergistic action with iron: vitamin B6 and folate (Metafolin ) √ High gastrointestinal tolerance What is the origin of the type of iron in FerroDyn? The iron used in the FerroDyn capsule is iron bisglycinate. It is a chelate, formed between one molecule of iron and 2 molecules of glycine (glycine = amino acid) , with high bioavailability. The chelate has a neutral charge, so there is no interaction with other nutrients. Iron bisglycinate is, in other words, the best-absorbed form of iron on the market. Iron bisglycinate is well tolerated and therefore causes little or no complaints of constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and/ or diarrhoea. The chewable tablet contains a form of iron fumarate. Fumarate is an organic salt. Iron fumarate is also well tolerated and does not cause black discolouration of the teeth. How to take FerroDyn? The absorption of FerroDyn is not enhanced if it is taken with fruit juice (vitamin C). The iron in FerroDyn is present in the form of divalent iron (Fe2+) and is therefore directly absorbed by the body. Iron administered in the form of Fe3+ must first be converted into Fe2+, before being absorbed by the body. Fruit juice (Vitamin C) can help improve the conversion of trivalent iron (Fe3+) into divalent iron (Fe2+). With FerroDyn, this is not necessary. Why have the cofactors vitamin B6 and vitamin B9 been added to FerroDyn? The cofactors were added to reinforce the action of iron. Vitamins B6 and B9 promote the production of red blood cells. Vitamin B9 (folate, Metafolin). Is FerroDyn suitable for pregnant women? Yes, FerroDyn is suitable for pregnant women. When is it best to take FerroDyn capsules? FerroDyn capsules contain iron bisglycinate (an iron chelate that does not react with other nutrients) and can therefore be taken with meals. Why is there a difference between taking the capsules and the chewable tablets? A distinction must be made between FerroDyn capsules and chewable tablets . FerroDyn capsules contain iron bisglycinate, and iron bisglycinate contains a powerful chelate which means the iron will not be released in the stomach and will not cause stomach irritation, and it will not bind to other foods. It can therefore be taken with meals and should not be taken on an empty stomach. Iron bisglycinate (iron with 2 amino acids and glycine) will therefore be absorbed in the jejunum via amino acid transport proteins. FerroDyn chewable tablets contain iron fumarate. This iron will be released by gastric acid and can bind to food. It is therefore better not to take it with meals, but rather on an empty stomach. The iron will be released in the stomach and will be absorbed in the first part of the small intestine, the duodenum, via mineral transport proteins.
