Description
Psyllium Plus A fibre-rich supplement that promotes and regulates intestinal activity, fights constipation and eliminates toxins from the body, without harming the colon. Guinea sorrel, clove and liquorice give Psyllium Plus a broader range of beneficial properties, as well as a very pleasant taste. √ INDIAN PLANTAIN HUSK ( Psyllium ovata ) The husk, or seed coat, of Indian plantain seeds contains at least 30 % mucilage, as well as alkaloids, sterols, several fatty acids, aucubin and tannins. It has emollient, soothing and laxative properties. One gram of plantain husk produces around 50 ml of mucilage in 24 hours. On contact with water, the plantain swells in the intestine and, in contact with its walls, stimulates peristalsis and sweeps away residues that adhere to it. It softens stools and promotes their complete elimination √ GUINEA SORREL It has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. It is a plant traditionally used to treat intestinal disorders. √ CLOVE It contains eugenol, tannins and caryophyllene. It has a mild laxative effect, and is a good carminative. √ LIQUORICE It has an antimicrobial effect against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is also said to have antituberculous properties. √ INULIN It is an excellent prebiotic, extracted from chicory root. It helps increase the density of bifidobacteria in the colon, an important factor that contributes to health.
